Mad crazy thoughts running through my head tonight... where to begin... first... Uber excited for my expected visitor tomorrow... man... just can't put it in to words... in this world that I live... this is now the one person who is able to enlighten all who ever wondered who I was before... to the me I am today... here would be your opportunity to have those questions answered... if you have ever moved from somewhere to where you are now... to have those who knew you best remember who you were... to have yesterday meet what is now today... there is no better word than to say... hum... or whoa... or wow... but now is your chance kids... those stories of awkward life we wish we could forget... yet smile at the most random remembrance... it is that picture of who you were... and the who you have now become... the day you remember being the most embarrassed... and the one that left you with the greatest joy... the moment of being seen and the one you felt forgotten... the moments that molded you into the person that you are today and created the road map to who you have now become... guess what kids... you can get some interesting answers from my past... in seeing who I am today... i have company coming this weekend... and i am very happy to introduce you to the me you never knew... the me who once was... to my oldest and dearest treasure from my past... Cathy Moore... who now calls herself, Cathleen...

I have been alone this week... Jake and I have been without our pack leader... well... let's just say... George has been in Louisiana this week with 10 other helpful pairs of hands... giving themselves in service to someone in need... i am always so proud and happy of the groups that bless others in the name of Jesus on behalf of our church... we are so privileged as a congregation to share our time and talents with others who have a need... near or far... we find a place to lay our hands... to use our gifts... to share our hearts with others... i have been able to be part of a number of these mission trips and am thankful for my memories... but today as I reflect on the conversation of the past week... i pray that the love showered upon those from past to today has left those on the receiving end as fulfilled as those who have given... to be part of a group of people who open themselves up to the needs of others... to listen with open ears to the trials of those who know something you have never experienced... to know that for the greater good... and in the grander scheme of all that is within the world... a gift given from the heart and hands that serve... is a gift from a God that is good... all the time...

Jake had a dentist/veterinarian appointment this week... and depending on your perspective on things... well indeed George is right... yet... details aside... and they should just be left aside....let me say that the ankles that enter our house from here forward are safe from the teeth of a small red dog who no longer has those little front teeth on the top or bottom that would inflict harm upon the ankles of the world... and he has had all his shots and a clean Bill of health... thank you me... you are welcome...

It is hard waiting for the other shoe to drop... this can apply to so many areas of life... financial security... job security... health... children... family... all of these things are difficult enough in their own way... what is most difficult is waiting for another to twist the knife... we as human are such flawed creatures to begin with... with the three fingers that point back as we call out the failure of others... it is enough just to keep the eyes in the back of the head open wide to protect us from the inevitable... often we know that which is about to happen... yet there are times when we never see it coming... it is not always about doing what is right... it is more often about doing what is necessary that gets us into trouble... and there in lies the rub... we do what we feel to be right to make the wheel turn and others just can't bare the thought of not having control... whether gained or earned... and as the aftermath of what is left behind... the question remains......

Treatment #2

There is a great deal of this journey that has left me flummoxed. I rise everyday with a goal to be brave and strong, to defeat the day with grace and determination. This is my code to life for everyday. That sounds like I’ve got it in the bag. Lol! Reality strikes again.  I have made two small solo endeavors in recent weeks but my guy has seen to most of my needs. I am blessed and thankful to have George at my side. Even the effort of the grocery store has proven to slow me up so I am grateful that his effort and heart is assuring that all my steps are guarded by his watchful eye. Bonus… arm candy! Lol! When people refer to chemo fog, trust they speak the truth. I had embarked on my first real solo adventure since my first treatment. I am excited to say the least! I began my adventure by assisting my sister with a lunch for the living center mother had spent the past 2.5 years of life. It is a small thank you to those who shared their caring hands and loving hearts. I will be fore...
